The Story Behind the Braided Hand Woven Jute Rug

Jute takes dye well, which is why an overdyed jute rug can move so far from its natural colour. This one is made from narrow braids stitched side by side, so the surface runs in fine ridges, and overdyed a warm mustard gold that deepens in the grooves. It suits a bedside, a study or the space under a coffee table.
