The Story Behind the Braided Hand Woven Jute Rug

Jute is known as the golden fibre, for the colour it keeps after drying and for its long history as a trade fibre. It is made from narrow jute braids stitched edge to edge, which keeps the rug flat while giving it a fine, ridged grain. This jute rug is golden throughout, finished with a narrow black binding across both ends. It suits a bedside, a study or the space under a coffee table.
